We’ve been settled in to our new salon at Franklins Farm shop for nearly 4 months now and we are so happy in our new home! The dogs are loving the fresh air and space and relaxed atmosphere that being on the farm brings. One of the highlights for me was looking up from my grooming table and watching the new born lambs playing, absolutely wonderful!
We have Kirsty at The Flower Mill as our new neighbour with her exciting studio, she’s offering some great workshops this year to teach you the tricks of floristry and we’ve been admiring her stunning flower walls that she hires out for weddings and events! The Pallet Cafe will be opening soon next to Franklins Farm Shop so there will be somewhere for our customers to wait for their dogs to be pampered whilst enjoying a coffee and a treat in the relaxing environment of the farm.
We are also very pleased to recommend Home from Home doggie daycare and boarding who are local to us in Ickwell, if you are looking for a carer for your dog. As for us it’s been a real year of professional growth and education, we have attended some amazing dog grooming seminars by some of my dog grooming idols, the highlight so far was being privileged to spend the day with Riza Wisnom who came over from the USA to teach the art of Asian Freestyle Dog Grooming, a style that I love! In June we will be holding a dog grooming seminar to teach Asian Grooming to over 40 groomers from the UK to see the amazing Lisa Hart and Sharon Mills both award winning groomers specialising in this modern and creative style of grooming. As all good groomers know, you never stop learning in a job that you love!
Franklins Farm will be open for their very successful Leaf Open Farm Sunday on 9th June, where there will be tractor rides, visits with the animals and of course a BBQ!
Also a big warm welcome to all the lovely new dogs and their families that we have met since moving premises, it’s been a joy to meet you all! As we come into the busy summer season don’t forget to get all your dogs booked in for their pamper!
