What Should I expect when I bring my dog to you?
When you bring your dog in for grooming you will see that we have a doggie area outside the salon press the bell and we will come and greet you and your dog outside. After a brief chat and saying hi to your baby (and you!) we will make sure we have all your details and any special requirements and bring them inside. Then you can go about your day knowing that they are in safe hands about to get treated to an extra special grooming experience! Half an hour before they are ready to show off their new look to you we will text you to let you know when they are ready! When you arrive just press on our doorbell and they will come rushing to you to show off their super cute new look and you say Wow!
My Dog is nervous and so am I , can you help?
Dogs are energy readers and a big part of how we work is to respect the dog and how it feels about the grooming process. When you drop your dog off try to have a ‘no big deal’ energy to help your dog feel comfortable about being left with someone new, sometimes we don’t realise that our own energy has a big impact on how our dog is feeling so if you are brave for them with a relaxed energy they will know that they are in safe hands. We keep a calm environment in the salon and treat the dogs with respect and let them know that we are grateful that they trust us enough to allow us to groom them and to listen to their needs. We work slowly and let them take a break if needed.
How often should I have my pet groomed?
Between 4 and 6 weeks is a good time between appointments to keep your dog looking and feeling their best.
For Cockapoos, Cavapoos and all those doodles we will advise a schedule for them to have that cute teddy bear look with minimum maintenance from you, 4-6 week intervals is what is usually needed to prevent matting and to get the gorgeous haircut we want to give them!
How long does it take?
Each dog is an individual so times can vary we aim for 2-3 hours for a haircut and we always text you half an hour before they are ready show you their new look!
The first appointment of the day is usually the fastest so let us know if this works better for you.
For a Short coated dog bath we usually have them ready between 1 – 1/2 hours
For a Bath & Tidy allow up to two hours.
Do you offer hand stripping?
Yes we do! We offer hand stripping for smaller breeds such as Border Terriers, etc. This is a specialised service so allow a few hours for this as it can be tiring your the dogs (and us!) so we give them plenty of breaks to keep them happy.
What are your opening hours?
We are open Wednesday to Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm. We offer a nail clipping service that you don’t need an appointment for so just pop along and we can help you out.
How soon should I bring my new puppy to meet you?
Everyone loves a puppy right? So bring them over as soon as you can even if it’s just to say hi and ask any questions you have about their grooming , we are always available for puppy cuddles!
